Prince Andrew escapes to hidden royal farmhouse for Christmas amid King Charles feud

Prince Andrew chooses isolation on Christmas amid tensions with King Charles

Prince Andrew will reportedly spend Christmas at Wood Farm.

A remote farmhouse on the Sandringham Estate, served as a private retreat for members of the royal family, including the Princess of Wales.

However, the Duke of York, who has been at the center of a dispute with King Charles, is staying in the secluded five-bedroom farmhouse rather than joining the main family celebrations at Sandringham, according to a report by OK!

Sharing her views on the situation, royal expert Jennie Bond told the outlet, “As families expand, life gets more complicated. And the Yorks now have two sons-in-law and four grandchildren to consider.”

“So it is beginning to become untenable to have the whole extended Royal family under one roof at Sandringham…especially with Camilla’s family to consider as well. However, it seems that Andrew remains keen on the traditional Royal Christmas and, even after all the controversy over Royal Lodge, he and Sarah will almost certainly be invited to share the King and Queen’s celebrations,” Jennie added.

It is worth mentioning Wood Farm, purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the 1860s, offers a peaceful setting. The place has been a favourite hideaway for several royal figures, including Prince Philip, who called it home from 2017 until his death in 2021.

Additionally, Kate Middleton also enjoyed privacy away from the public eye in the early stage of her relationship with Prince William. She also reportedly spent time there before her recent cancer diagnosis became public.
